Seven players represented Balcarras at the English Schools Golf Finals on Thursday 23^rd March. The team consisted of Alex Williams, Sam Ellicott, Alex Perry, Freddie Coombe, Jacob Austin, Ben Warwicker and Finlay Richards. The conditions were extremely difficult with wind and rain resulting in high scores for all 22 schools that participated. However, some fine performances meant the Balcarras team had a chance of winning going down the last hole. Sam Ellicott managed to up and down on the last (from behind a tree) for the team to win by 1 shot. This is the first time in the 30 year history of the tournament that Balcarras had won. They will now go on and represent the school at the National finals at Woodhall Spa (the home of England Golf) on Wednesday 5^th July. 

The number of junior golfers at Balcarras has been growing over the past few years (with the support of Lilleybrook GC) and golf at Balcarras goes from strength to strength.
