Litter Pick
Balcarras and High School Leckhampton pupils took part in a litter pick to tidy up our local community
On the 6th of April, many members of eco club got together to do a litter pick in Beeches park and the nearby area. This was apart of the Great British spring clean which people took part all over the country. We went out during first period with gloves, litter pickers and bin bags ready to clean up our local area. There were eco club members from year 7, 8 and 9 as well as some year 7s from the High School Leckhampton. It was great seeing us all having fun while cleaning the environment and also we all enjoyed missing a lesson to have fun with friends.
In the end we had loads of bags full of rubbish that people had left in the park and near the co-op! We found crisp packets, water bottles, cans and more that wouldn’t have been cleared up if we didn’t do our bit to help our community. All of us had a great time and I am sure all members in eco club would love to do another litter pick in the local area. Thank you Mr Pearce for letting this event take place!
