Tea Party
Last Wednesday we welcomed around 90 senior members of our local community to Balcarras for an afternoon for a tea party. This was organised by Sixth formers, who baked cakes, played music and had a decent chat with our visitors. The pupils involved were exceptional on every level, and ensured that our guests were made to feel very welcome at the school.
Mr Leatherbarrow, head of Sixth Form said "Wednesday's Senior Citizen Tea Party in the Common Room was a special event. I'm not particularly sentimental, but being able to see so many of our sixth formers host and lead such as event with minimal teacher intervention, and to see them conduct themselves in such a mature manner, was inspiring. Well done to everyone involved."
