New Green spaces
A new pond and seating area was unveiled on the Balcarras site.
Yesterday saw the unveiling of a much improved green space around the school grounds. A new seating area with ponds, waterfall, planting area, veg garden and gazebo was opened by the headmaster and the governors of the school.
The site team have been impoving this area over the last few months and have made the space a welcome area for pupils to use at break and lunchtimes. "The old pond had a leak and needed replacing" said Andy Cadogan the site manager, as seen in this picture.
The Schools Ecoclub worked with the site team to design the area, and clear the old pond. The site team then made the improvements to the area that make it a welcoming usable green space.
"It is an outstanding area" said Mr Burke the Headmaster, "This is now an area for pupils to enjoy, with the pond and benches all upgraded".
