On Wednesday this week the Year 8 Cricket team won the District tournament in a nail biting finish at the Hatherley and Reddings Cricket Ground against our sister school, The High School Leckhampton. Needing seven runs to win with two balls remaining Theo Uthup swung his bat and hit two sublime shots to ensure that Balcarras won the final by 1 run. Well done to everyone on the team. It is the first time that Balcarras has won this trophy since 1989 and only the third time in the history of the trophy which dates back to 1978.
