On Friday 28^th June, we were delighted to welcome author Ben Davis to Balcarras. Ben is the author of The Soup Movement, one of the books on the Balcarras Canon. Years 7 and 8 enjoyed hearing about Ben's books and writing process and listening to extracts. In the Q&A session, students asked very thoughtful questions and learned about his inspirations, writing tips and favourite books. It was great to see so many students having books and bookmarks signed. Please look out for further reading events coming up, including the summer reading challenge. We hope that students and parents are able to enjoy time reading over the summer holiday.
