Catering at Balcarras School is managed internally by the Balcarras Trust. This ensures that the school has full control over all aspects of food preparation. Balcarras School believes that all students should have access to a healthy and nutritious meal every day. We reinforce this healthy eating message as part of the whole school approach to healthy lifestyles. All our ingredients are sourced locally, and our food is prepared and cooked on the premises. Research suggests that tasty and nutritionally balanced school meals, that children love to eat, greatly enhances wellbeing and has a significant positive impact on pupils achieving their full academic potential.

Balcarras School serves food to the students three times a day:

Breakfast = 8.00- 8.45am

Break = 11.00-11.20am

Lunch = 1.20-2.10pm
