Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students on a fabulous set of GCSE results. There was a great atmosphere today in the sixth form common room as the results were handed out.

Year 11 were a terrific group and we are very proud of what they have achieved collectively. The results were just amazing with 42% of entries being awarded 7+ (A*/A) and 84% of students achieving 5 grades 4+ including English and maths.

James Pearne gained 9 grade 9s a grade 8 and an A* making him the top performing student in the year group. Meg Unsworth gained an amazing 8 grade 9s.

Early indications are that in terms of progress these are possibly the best results in the school’s history. We have achieved an ALPS 2 which places the school in the top 10% of all schools nationally for progress. Top students in terms of progress were Kene Jenner and Charlotte Claydon.
