On Thursday 9^th November the Balcarras Girls Under 16 Hockey Team competed in the Southwest Regional Finals. They had qualified two weeks earlier by becoming Gloucestershire champions.

The competition consisted of three pools with the winner of each pool going into a triangular final. In the group stage, we won 3 games and drew 1 which meant we progressed to the final to face Warminster and KLB. The girls put in two fantastic performances and drew both of these games, however, Warminster beat KLB which meant they were crowned winners of the competition.

We are so proud of the girls' attitude and effort throughout the competition. They did not give up until the final whistle and were a credit to the school! Please see below for results.
